21 February 2012, 18:16
The 'Read All About It' singer has arrived at the O2 Arena ahead of her performance at the BRITs 2012.
Emeli Sande has admitted it feels "pretty frigging cool" to be attending the BRIT Awards 2012 tonight (21st February) as this year's Critics Choice recipient.
The 'Heaven' singer was named the 2012 recipient of the prized award as well as being nominated for Best British Breakthrough at tonight's awards ceremony at London's O2 Arena.
"I mean I was here last year and no one knew who I was so to come back now with a number one album is incredible," Emeli told Capital's showbiz reporter Kevin Hughes. "I'm going to have a good time, [I] can't wait to sit down with everyone, it's going to be a great night."
Emeli said although she isn't expecting to win the award for Best British Breakthrough she is hoping to meet some of her idols backstage at tonight's show.
"I'd love to meet Blur tonight, see Coldplay again, meet Rihanna. It would be fantastic," she added.
Emeli Sande also confirmed she will be performing at the BRIT Awards tonight, which take place live at the O2 Arena from 8pm.
Capital will be coming live from the BRIT Awards in London all day on Tuesday (21st February).
