The 'Figure 8' star says the two laughed and joked about having to kiss in the video.

Ellie Goulding has been teasing the upcoming music video for her and Calvin Harris' new single 'I Need Your Love', and says it was funny pretending to be the superstar DJ's girlfriend.

The 'Anything Could Happen' singer features on Scottish producer Calvin's latest release, admitting it felt "strange" to act romantically with him on camera, but says they just had a laugh about it all.

"It's funny pretending to be someone's girlfriend for the day!" Ellie exclusively told Capital this week. "It's very strange.

But, you know, me and Calvin are such good friends, we just had a laugh," the British singer explained. "We talked about it, we knew what the concept was, and we were just texting and laughing about it, thinking it was funny."

"I think it's going to be a really good one actually," she added. "I love the song and I love performing it, and it's probably one of my favourite songs, because I wrote it with Calvin."

'I Need Your Love' will be the seventh single to be lifted from Calvin Harris' latest album '18 Months' after hits like 'Let's Go', 'Drinking From The Bottle' and 'Sweet Nothing'.
