Ed Sheeran Excited For Summertime Ball 2012: "Biggest Gig To Date, Can't Wait!"

The 'A Team' singer says performing at Wembley today will be his largest ever concert to date.

Ed Sheeran says he is excited about performing at the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2012 later today and has described it as his "biggest gig" ever.

The 'Lego House' singer-songwriter is set to take to the stage at Wembley Stadium this evening (9th June) to perform in front of a sold-out crowd of 80,000 and says his is looking forward to the concert.

"Playing Wembley stadium today for @CapitalOfficial summertime ball," Ed tweeted earlier today. "Biggest gig to date, can't wait!"

Yesterday Ed also spoke to Capital FM about his upcoming performance and says he expects the Summertime Ball to be "quite a sight". 

The 'Small Bump' singer is set to embark on a new North American tour in June which continues in September and October this year across 16 dates. 

Ed's debut album '+' recently went quadruple platinum after selling over 1,200,000 copies in total.

Ed Sheeran will perform at the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2012 today on a bill alongside acts including Jessie J, Example, The Wanted, Lawson and Usher.

Capital FM is coming live from the Summertime Ball at London's Wembley Stadium on 9th June.
