The 'Lego House' singer responds to stories saying he has not been allocated personal tickets to the event.

Ed Sheeran has hit out at recent reports that he is not able to bring his parents to this weekend's Grammy Awards 2013.

The 'Drunk' singer logged onto his social network account to address the reports which surfaced in the tabloids.

It was published in the Daily Star that the singer had revealed he only had one ticket – for himself – to attend the show.

Speaking on his Twitter account over the weekend, the 'You Need Me, 'I Don't Need You' star clarified such rumours.

"Despite what press is saying, I have for extra tickets for Grammys for my parents, that was an old news story," he wrote.

The British star is nominated for Song Of The Year with 'The A Team' at the event this weekend and will perform alongside Sir Elton John on the night.

Ed recently revealed how it was the idea of the 'Rocket Man' singer for their surprise duet appearance.

The Grammy Awards 2013 will also feature live performances from such stars as Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and Maroon 5 and takes place this Sunday (10th February) live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
