DJ Tiesto Beats David Guetta To Be Named World's Highest Paid DJ

The DJ is believed to earn an average of $250,000 per night, as Swedish House Mafia also appear in poll.

DJ Tiesto has been named the world's highest paid DJ by Forbes, beating the likes of David Guetta and Deadmau5.

The 'Surburban Train' star earns $22 million a year and is on average paid $250,000, according to the magazine.

In an interview with the magazine, Tiesto acknowledged the help of social media – including Twitter and Facebook – for helping boost his global profile.

Dubstep producer and DJ Skrillex was second in the poll, with $15 million, and Swedish House Mafia came third with $14 million.

David Guetta, who has collaborated with the likes of Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Sia, was forth with earnings of $13.5 million.
