The 'Rockstar' rapper has been handed a sentence suspended for 18 months in court today.

Dappy has avoided immediate jail time after being handed a six month suspended sentence today (15th February) following his role in a petrol station brawl last year.

The 'No Regrets' rapper was found guilty of affray and one charge of assault last month following an incident at a Shell garage in Guildford back in March 2012, and had faced a potential jail term of up to three and a half years for the combined charges.

Sky News reports that Dappy broke down in tears and shouted out "yes" when he was handed a six month jail sentence suspended for 18 months earlier today at Guildford Crown Court.

They said he was also ordered to pay £4,500 in compensation and £2,000 in costs.
