Conor Maynard Was Forced To Move Home After Screaming Fans Found Out Where He Lived

The 'Can't Say No' singer says he used to get chased down the road while trying to go to the shops.

Conor Maynard has revealed he was forced to move house recently after a group of fans discovered where he lived and started chasing him down the street screaming whenever he left home.

The 19 year-old singer-songwriter scored his first chart success earlier this year with debut single 'Can't Say No', after rising to fame with his YouTube cover videos last year, but Conor admits there are one or two downsides to fame.

"I had to move house recently because some fans found out where I lived," he told The Sun recently. "It's not so easy going to get a pint of milk from Sainsbury's when girls are chasing you and asking for photographs and autographs.

"I'm definitely not telling anyone where my new place is, or I'll have to buy a disguise."

The Brighton-born star, who moved to London after signing his first record deal, recalled another embarrassing fan incident which occurred before any of his music had even come out.

"I was in a shop earlier this year and a female fan saw me and screamed so loudly that everyone stopped and looked round," Conor recalled. "It was like someone had died. And the worst thing about it was at that point no one else knew who I was.

"And the girl was with her nan, who then turned around and started asking everyone who I was."

The 'Vegas Girl' star admitted that, despite the few pitfalls of rising to fame as a singer, the best part about it is the "massive" amount of people that get to hear his music now.
