In preparation for Coldplay's upcoming appearance at Capital FM's Summertime Ball, we're taking a look back at some of the band's greatest ever live performances.
The band were relatively new when they performed on the MTV Stage at the V Festival in Chelmsford in 2000. The group released their debut album 'Parachutes' shortly before they made their appearance at the event.
Chris Martin and co were riding high on the success of 'Parachutes' when they took to the stage in Scotland during July 2001. The album produced the singles 'Yellow', 'Trouble' 'Shiver' and 'Don't Panic which all resonated perfectly through the sunshine of the event.
Chris Martin and co performed at the capital's venue during August of 2002 where they performed songs from their second album 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head' including the anthemic sounds of 'In My Place' and opening with album starter 'Politik'.
As well as picking up the awards for Best British Group and Album of the year at the ceremony in London's Earl's Court, the band also gave a memorable rendition of their single 'Clocks'.
The band made a return to the Scottish festival in 2003 where they headlined the Sunday night of the event with R.E.M performing on the Saturday.
Fresh from their debut headline performance at the 2002 Glastonbury Festival, Coldplay returned to the Pyramid stage in 2005 as Friday's grand finale.
To mark the twentieth anniversary of the world famous Live Aid charity concert, organiser Sir Bob Geldof put on a new spectacle in London's Hyde Park. As well as the reformation of legendary stars Pink Floyd the show was also remembered for the band and Richard Ashcroft's rendition of The Verve classic 'Bittersweet Symphony'.
The band were one of only two performers on the night at the Gibson Ampitheatre in California performing their hit single 'Viva La Vida' complete with confetti pouring from the ceiling. The other live performance came from The Pussycat Dolls.
In July 2008, the band were in the middle of their North American tour in support of their latest album 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends' when they rolled into the Air Canada Centre in Toronto Canada.
Coldplay made another high-profile US TV appearance when they were asked to be one of the live performers at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Taking to the stage on the same night as the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna and Kanye West the group gave a triumphant performance of their hit 'Lovers In Japan'.
Before taking to the stage at the 2009 ceremony in London's Earls Court, the band had six BRIT awards to their name and although they failed to add to that tally on the night, they did give an energetic performance of their single 'Viva La Vida'.
During the UK leg of their 'Viva La Vida' world tour, the band took to the stage for two nights at London's Wembley stadium in September 2009. The group were supported by Jay-Z and Girls Aloud.
Making their third headline appearance on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury and arguably their greatest yet, Coldplay debuted songs from their new album 'Mylo Xyloto' and turned the stage into a giant light projection during their closing track 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall'.
As part of Canadian TV station Much Music, the band performed a free open air concert in downtown Toronto in September 2011.
On October 1st 2011, Coldplay headlined the Rock In Rio music festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Other headline acts at the event included Rihanna, Stevie Wonder and rock band Metallica.

Following the tragic earthquake in Haiti the band took part in the charity telethon in what was the most widely distributed telethon in history. They performed 'A Message' from their 2005 album 'X&Y'.
Shortly before announcing their 'Mylo Xyloto' world tour, Coldplay performed a short arena tour which included a pair of gig at London's O2 Arena in December.
After their O2 Arena tour show, the band returned the following night to play at the London venue as part of the Under One Roof charity concert in aid of the Kids Company.
At this year's Grammy Awards the band took to the stage with Bajan star Rihanna for a rendition of their 'Mylo Xyloto' album collaboration 'Princess Of China' at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Coldplay opened the show at London's O2 Arena for the BRIT Awards 2012 where they performed an explosive rendition of their single 'Charlie Brown'. The band also picked up Best British Group on the night. Front man Chris Martin later joined Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds on piano for the former Oasis man's hit 'AKA... What A Life'.
The band kicked off their 2012 world stadium tour in Porto this month and gave a powerful performance and hugely entertaining show when they rocked the Stade Charles-Ehrmann in Nice.
