The 'Turn Up The Music' singer says he understands some of Justin's recent actions and press attention.

Chris Brown has defended Justin Bieber over his recent controversies and says he is "praying" for the Canadian pop star, who he described as being like a "baby Elvis".

'Boyfriend' singer Justin has rarely been out of the headlines in recent weeks after several high profile stories involving things like late tour showings and an altercation with a paparazzi photographer.

However, 'Turn Up The Music' star Chris says he understands how the teen pop star feels as well as joking that he is glad he isn't around to be a bad influence on the singer.

"It's a case of how I feel. Being young, having a limitless amount of income to do whatever you want," Chris told US radio show Power 105.1 this week, when asked about Justin's recent string of bad press. "You have nobody who's going to say, 'Hey bro, you look whack right now.

"I feel like the mainstream media, they're going to target the little black boys around him and say this is why he's doing it," the R&B star said, in reference to those in Justin's close circle like rapper Lil Twist. "I'm gain sure glad I'm not around!

"I pray for him, I pray for myself," Chris added. "i think we're both great artists, he's like a baby Elvis."
