Cheryl Cole Made £15,000 A Second On The X Factor USA?

'Promise This' singer Cheryl Cole reportedly racked up a whopping £1.2million for her very brief appearance on the US X Factor.

The X Factor USA aired for the first time this week, with sacked judge Cheryl Cole featuring for a mere 80 seconds of screen time.

But despite such a brief appearance, Cheryl still bagged £15,000 for each second on the show as she took home the full £1.2million salary Simon Cowell had promised her.

Cheryl spoke 99 words on the first and only episode she'll feature in, which works out at a pay cheque of £12,000 for every word, say the Daily Star.

US critics said Cheryl Cole was "charming" compared to a "robotic" Nicole Scherzinger, and the latest is that Simon Cowell offered Cheryl a role on Britain's Got Talent but she turned him down.

Cheryl is currently preparing to release new music, with Taio Cruz confirming he's been working on a new song with the '3 Words' singer.

And in her personal life, since returning from Afghanistan where she reportedly forgot Ashley Cole by getting friendly with a "gorgeous soldier", Cheryl's been spending time with her Girls Aloud mates and comforting a newly single Sarah Harding.
