The 'Parachute' singer says working with the actress was one of the best things about starring in the romantic comedy.

Cheryl Cole has described Cameron Diaz as a "lovely woman" and says the Hollywood actress was a pleasure to work with on the set of What To Expect When You're Expecting.

The 'Call My Name' singer attended the film's premiere in central London yesterday (22nd May), after making a small cameo in the new romantic comedy as a talent show judge, and Cheryl says she loved getting to know the Charlie's Angels star better.

"Do you know what? Working with Cameron, she's such a lovely woman," Cheryl told Capital about her favourite part of working on the film. "We were there for two days in Atlanta, and literally she was just happy and fun to be around the whole time. She's lovely!"

The 'Parachute' singer went on to explain that her acting debut had been a fun experience because of how small her role in What To Expect When You're Expecting is.

She added: It's actually really fun for me because it's like the pressure's off. I haven't got a big role it's a cameo, a small part, but it's just fun!"

The '3 Words' singer returned to the UK at the end of last weekend following a short trip to Cannes Film Festival, after which she was pictured out celebrating her Girls Aloud band mate Kimberley Walsh's last night starring in the London West End musical Shrek.

Cheryl Cole is set to release her third studio album 'A Million Lights' on 18th June.
