The '3 Words' star tells Capitalfm.com that she was hoping to ensure all 80,000 fans could see her during surprise set.

Cheryl Cole has confessed that she chose such a striking neon catsuit for her surprise performance at Capital FM's Summertime Ball because she wanted everyone inside Wembley Stadium to see her.

The Girls Aloud star shocked the 80,000 fans with her guest appearance and told Capitalfm.com that she was conscious to ensure the crowd could enjoy her set.

"Well the thing is, I was really lucky enough to have it made by a woman called Pam Hogg – who specialises in making catsuits, " she admitted. "But when you're doing such a big event like that [Summertime Ball], it's a stadium – we played here before with Coldplay – people at the back can't see a thing.

"You know they might get the odd clip on the screen or whatever but you become teenie tiny, so I thought I'd be bold and bright and give everybody a view."

The singer's dress was one of the most talked about outfits from all of the artists who took to the stage today.
