The Girls Aloud singer says she didn't feel strong enough to give the show everything during her last run.

Cheryl Cole has admitted that her last series of The X Factor UK took its toll on her and has revealed she didn't feel "strong enough" to continue with the show.

The 'Call My Name' singer featured on the ITV show's judging panel between 2008 and 2010 but says she wasn't completely focused during her last run with The X Factor UK.

"The last X Factor series I did was too hard for me," Cheryl reveals, in the new issue of InStyle magazine. "I wasn't right in my mind enough to give it my everything and be focused.

"And I wasn't strong enough mentally," the 'Under The Sun' singer admitted.

Cheryl went on to reveal that she and Simon Cowell have made amends and are friends now, despite falling out for a time after her ill-fated experience on The X Factor USA.

"I've seen Simon since," the UK singer confirmed. "Like, we're friends again.

"But I don't talk about flagging things to him, he'd have a meltdown!" she added.
