Cheryl Cole: "Nicole Scherzinger Sang One Of My Songs To My Face The First Time We Met"

The Girls Aloud star opens up on the "awkward" encounter in her new autobiography.

Cheryl Cole has confessed that the first time she ever met Nicole Scherzinger was an embarrassing and "awkward" situation.

The 'Under The Sun' star speaks of the encounter in her new autobiography, Cheryl: My Story, and revealed the former Pussycat Doll sang the whole of 'Promise This' back to her.

The pair met when the Girls Aloud star was still a judge on The X factor and Nicole was appearing as a guest.

"I swear to God the woman sang the whole song, to my face," she said. "It was just so awkward."

The '3 Words' star likened the incident to singing '…Baby One More Time' to Britney Spears.

She added: "Can you image how weird that would be?"

Her book also opens up on her feelings when she was sacked from the US version of The X Factor, eventually replaced by Nicole.

She speaks openly on her marriage breakdown to Ashley Cole and how she thought doctors were plotting to kill her when she was hospitalised with malaria.
