The Girls Aloud star is lining up a hit collaboration with the 'We Found Love' singer for her latest record.

Cheryl Cole is reportedly teaming up with Rihanna on her forthcoming new album.

The 'Parachute' singer is said to have struck up a good friendship with the Bajan star when she went to visit her at London's O2 Arena last month on her 'Loud' worldwide arena tour.

A source told the Daily Mirror: "Rihanna thinks the world of Cheryl and will work on a party remix with her when they meet up on her next visit.

"The album fuses pop, hip hop, soul and dance. It already has some party anthems on it but Rihanna's would get everyone up on their feet.!"

The singer has already hooked up with the likes of Taio Cruz on the album and apparently can't wait for her fans to hear the finished product.

"It's a big year for Cheryl. She can't wait for her little soldiers to hear the music she's been passionately working on over the past 12 months," added the source.

The Girls Aloud star is scheduled to release her third studio album sometime this year and has plans to release the first single from the record in March.

Meanwhile, both Rihanna and Cheryl were among a host of musicians and celebrities who have tweeted their congratulations to Beyonce and Jay-Z following the birth of the couple's baby girl Blue Ivy Carter last Saturday (7th January).
