Fans of the UK girl band have been speculating that the group could be set to announce their break-up tonight.
Cheryl Cole has sparked speculation among Girls Aloud fans that the girl band could be set to announce their split tonight during the final night of their 'Ten' reunion tour.
The 'Call My Name' star posted an emotional string of messages on Twitter today (20th March) about the last night of the tour this evening in Liverpool, asking fans to help make the show a "celebration of the past 10 years".
Cheryl was pictured looking noticeably emotional during the 'Something New' band's penultimate show in Nottingham on Tuesday (19th March), leading fans across Twitter to speculate that the girl band may announce a permanent split at today's concert.
"Last show!! When did that happen??! It was just 5 minutes ago we were starting rehearsals!" Cheryl tweeted this afternoon. "Feel like I've been in a time machine.
"And now we're here!! One of my favourite places ever for the last show!! Liverpool!! LETS GOOOOO," the 'Under The Sun' singer continued.
"To the people that haven't been able to make it, for whatever reason, we feel your support regardless and have done for 10 yrs.
"To the people that have been to almost as many shows as we have lol let's make this a celebration of the past 10 years," Cheryl added.
"Is tonight girls aloud's last ever show together," Twitter user @CiaraRacher tweeted after Cheryl's posts, while @SoldierThing wrote: "@CherylCole your scaring us! Is this the end of girls aloud?"

Earlier this year it was announced that a Girls Aloud box set collection featuring all of their studio albums and a collection of b-sides is set to be released on 13th May, while the girl band have also confirmed plans to release a live DVD of their 'Ten' tour in the future.
