Cheryl Cole Announces 2012 UK Arena Tour - Video

The '3 Words' singer will embark on the eight-date outing this October as she promotes new album 'A Million Lights'.

Cheryl Cole has announced details of her debut UK arena tour.

The 'Call My Name' star will head out on the eight-date jaunt in October starting at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham on the 6th and calling in at Sheffield, Liverpool and London's O2 Arena.

The Girls Aloud star will climax the tour with a hometown gig at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena on the 17th October.

The outing will follow the release of the star's new album 'A Million Lights'

Cheryl's full UK tour dates are as follows:

Nottingham, Capital FM Arena – 6th October
London, O2 Arena – 7th October
Sheffield, Motorpoint Arena – 9th October
Liverpool, Echo Arena – 11th October
Birmingham, LG Arena – 12th October
Manchester, Manchester Arena – 13th October
Glasgow, SECC – 15th October
Newcastle, Arena – 17th October

Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday (15th June) at 9am.

Meanwhile, the star recently made a surprise appearance at Capital FM's Summertime Ball 2012 performing alongside the likes of Usher, Justin Bieber and Coldplay.

Following her performance, the star told Capital that the show had given her the "buzz" to get back performing and teased details of the tour.

"Doing the Summertime Ball just reminded me completely of why I love being out there performing to people," she said. "Performing to a TV crowd is one thing – but performing to a live audience is where it's at for me – that's what I love."
