Cher Lloyd Says She's Not A Diva

Cher Lloyd has said she does not consider herself a diva, but has admitted to being a bit of a rebel.

The former X Factor singer, who has sometimes earned a reputation for her outspokenness, said she always tries to be her "own person".

"Even on The X Factor, where they’re picking your songs and outfits, and doing your hair and make-up the way they want you to be seen, I was quite rebellious," she told You magazine.

But the 'Swagger Jagger' admitted that she did occasionally have to listen to other people's opinions on the programme.

“I had to give in a little bit – if I’d had my way, I’d have been rapping a Lil Wayne track every week," she said.

"But I’ve always had this strength of mind. Because, the way I see it, if I’m not myself, what’s the point in doing it?"

Cher added: "I’m only a diva in that I stand up for myself.  You know what? I’m an odd child, I’ve always felt like a freak. Sometimes I don’t even feel like I’m a human, you know?”

Cher's debut album 'Sticks + Stones' is released in November.
