The 'Call Me Maybe' star says she is excited just to be nominated for several awards at the annual event.

Carly Rae Jepsen says she is very excited to perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2012 (EMAs) later today and is happy just to be nominated.

The 'Good Time' singer-songwriter is up for three awards in total, including Best Song for 'Call Me Maybe', Best New Act and Best Push Act, and will also perform at the event tonight (11th November) in Frankfurt, Germany.

"To be honest I wasn't expecting any of the three [awards] so just to be here and getting a good excuse to wear a dress is all I'm excited about," Carly revealed to Capital FM ahead of the event. "The dress is silver and it's one of those pieces where I think once I put it on I'm not going to want to take it off.

"I mean this is going to be quite an amazing moment itself just being here at this awards show," Carly added, regarding her appearance during the annual awards show.
