Bruno Mars has said that he would like to be a member of "Team Bella" ahead of the UK premiere for Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.

The 'Lazy Song' singer, who has recorded a track for the official soundtrack, joked that he would rather support Kristen Stewart's character over Team Edward and Team Jacob.

"How come I can't be Team Bella? How come I've got to be the werewolf or the glitter guy?" he said.

Bruno then laughed and failed to answer when asked if he thought Bella was a tease.

Speaking to Capital FM's Rich Clarke, the singer revealed that he had seen 25 minutes of the forthcoming Twilight film.

"I think it's going to be really cool. The stuff that I saw was very interesting. I was laughing. They shot some cool stuff in some cool locations," he said.

Bruno has recorded the song 'It Will Rain' for the new movie, which premieres in the UK tonight (16th November).

The Robert Pattinson-starring film goes on general release from 18th November.
