The 'Thrift Shop' duo are expected to perform their gay rights anthem 'Same Love'.

Bruno Mars and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have both been announced for the performance line-up of this month's MTV Video Music Awards 2013 (VMAs).

The 'Locked Out Of Heaven' singer, who is up for three awards on the night itself, is expected to perform his brand new single, the latest release from his 2012 album 'Unorthodox Jukebox'.

Bruno will be performing the single for the first time on television, following his huge 2011 VMAs performance of 'Valerie' in tribute to Amy Winehouse.

Hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will also be performing at this year's VMAs, where they are tied with Justin for the most nominations with six in total.

The 'Can't Hold Us' duo are expected to perform their gay rights anthem 'Same Love', which is up for Best Video With A Social Message.
