The music mogul drops his biggest hint yet that the 'Criminal' star could make an appearance on the judging panel.
Simon Cowell has confessed that fans of The X Factor USA will have to "wait and see" whether Britney Spears will be joining the new series of the music reality show as a judge.
The '…Baby One More Time' star was reportedly offered a lucrative $10 million deal last week to appear on the show and the music mogul has told Fox's Good Morning New York that he is talking to everybody he can.
He revealed: "You'll have to wait and see. I can't confirm or deny anything right now. The truth is, we are talking to a number of people."
On the rumours of the stars who he wants on the show, Simon admitted it can change everyday as more and more people thrown their names forward.
He added: "It changes on a daily basis to be honest with you. Last night two other people threw their names in the hat – one a very famous singer one a very famous actress and you've got to talk to everybody."
If she does sign up, Britney will take one of the vacant spots on the judge's table after Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul left the series.
When asked why they were "fired", Simon replied: "They weren't fired, darling. They just weren't invited back."
Meanwhile, Internet rumours have been suggesting Britney could be set to feature on Nicki Minaj's new album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' after an apparent tracklist was leaked.
