Peas avoid the slime at the KCAs

It was all about the slime, at the 2011 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards in LA.

Britney Spears, Russell Brand, Snoop Dogg, Jason Segel, Will Smith, Justin Timberlake and Miley Cyrus were just some of the stars to attend the annual event which featured more slime, or green gunge, than in any other previous show.
 
Host Jack Black opened the 90 minute show singing 'I Gotta Feeling' with Black Eyed Peas who, after performing 'Time of my Life' celebrated their first ever appearance at the show by winning the 'Blimp' for best Group
 
On stage, whilst avoiding the infamous green slime, band member will.i.am thanked 'all the kids around the world' for their support and Fergie too time to thank husband Josh Duhamel for dressing like Justin Bieber to the event, after she dared him too.
 
Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp is used to handling many sorts of weapons on set, but he's probably never used a powerful 'slime blaster' before, until this show. The Hollywood star was named best Actor and promptly blasted the audience in green slime adding ' you guys are the future, take good care of us.'
 
Russell Brand also presented an award to Eddie Murphy, for Best Animation Voice, but joked that 'he'll now never have any kids' after hundreds of children threw slime at him from the audience. Although stilll here on her UK tour, wife Katy Perry was name Best Female Artist.
 
Justin Timberlake received a standing ovation after he collected his special 'Best Help' award, in recognition for his charitable and environmental awareness work. On stage, he asked kids 'to be nice to the world and to listen to your parents.' He added 'I want to dedicate this to all of you very cool, very loud kids; this is your world" before teasing the audience with one of his infamous burps, which he previously won an award for.
 
New American boyband and TV stars Big Time Rush were joined on stage by Snoop Dogg, on new single' 'Boyfriend' and Snoop managed to cement his status of 'super cool' by allowing the award show organisers to cover him head to toe in green slime.
 
Miley Cyrus managed to avoid slipping on stage as she collected Best Film Actress and Willow Smith flew over the 12,000 capacity audience to perform 'Whip It' whilst Dad Will looked on and brother Jaden Smith picked up the award for Karate Kid, named Best Film.
 
Fergie's husband and Transformers star Josh Duhamel was another celebrity to experience the slime, when he beat Kevin James in a viewers poll to name the 'Best Armpit Farts.' Yes really!
 
All that plus Jim Carrey, Selena Gomez, Kung Fu Panda, Glee stars, Heidi Klum, The Kardashians and yes, even more slime.
