LeToya and LaTavia departed the group in late 1999 after management disagreements. Michelle Williams (far right) and Farrah Franklin (second left) stepped in. However, it proved to be a short-lived line-up as Farrah departed the band before the end of 2000.

During a break from group activities, Beyonce went on to become a global star in her own right, releasing her chart-topping solo debut, Dangerously In Love which included the hits Crazy In Love and Baby Boy.
After a few years hiatus, the band reformed in 2004 and recorded the album Destiny Fulfilled and went on a massive world tour.

As well as launching a hugely successful solo singing career, Beyonce has also branched out into movies. Here she is with Jennifer Hudson and Anika Noni Rose at the UK premiere of the movie, Dreamgirls.
The hottest couple in pop... Beyonce recently confirmed the worst-kept secret in showbiz by revealing that her and Jay Z are very much an item. As well as being a couple, the pair have also collaborated on a number of tracks including the No.1 hits Crazy In Love and Deja Vu.
Here's Beyonce with her sister, Solange at the Grammys in 2008. Solange co-wrote Get Me Bodied and Upgrade U for Beyonce's B Day album and also appeared in the video for the Destiny's Child hit, 'Soldier'.
Seriously, what is that outfit all about? On a more positive note, she gave an absolutely incredible performance of If I Were A Boy at the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards.
