In a late addition to the line up, MTV have confirmed that Beyonce will perform at the awards bash this Sunday.
Arriving in LA fresh from wowing audiences on tour in New York, Beyonce enhances a bill which already includes Lady Gaga, Adele and Bruno Mars.
"We are thrilled to have Beyonce return to her rightful musical home at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards," said VMAs executive producer Amy Doyle.
"Her performances at the VMAs are legendary, leaving everyone breathless and talking for days. We can’t wait to see her set the stage on fire once again!”
As well as performing, the ‘Best Think I Never Had’ singer will be waiting nervously to see if she wins any of the three awards that she's been nominated for.
She will be hoping to add to her ten previous gongs with her video for single 'Run The World (Girls)', which is nominated in the categories of Best Female Video, Best Choreography and Best Cinematography.
If she's unsuccessful let's hope there's no 'Deja Vu' of Kanye West's VMA Taylor Swift rant.
