Beyonce Steps Out In New York As She's Named Most Beautiful Woman In The World

The 'Countdown' star enjoys a day out in Manhattan as she accepts People magazine award.

Beyonce stepped out in New York on Wednesday (27th April) for the first time since being named the most beautiful woman in the world.

The 'Love On Top' star was awarded the accolade by People magazine, which praised her recent step into motherhood.

Wearing a silk blouse and loose fitting trousers, Bey appeared to embody the relaxed style she said she has adopted since giving birth to her first child.

"I never though there would be a day when I wouldn't wear heels," Beyonce told People magazine. "Now that I have a child, I walk around holding her all day, I'm buying loafers and oxfords!

"I love them, because they're comfortable, and shorter heels too."

Beyonce added that her husband Jay-Z also liked her new style: "He likes me more natural - just a relaxed, natural me."

The singer, who is due to make her return to the stage next month, was named the most beautiful woman in the world ahead of Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara and Prometheus star Charlize Theron.

Bey welcomed the arrival of her first child Blue Ivy Carter in January.
