The US star's director for 'Jealous' admits even he didn't know she was releasing 'Beyonce' at the weekend.

Beyonce surprised even the directors of her music videos when she dropped her new album 'Beyonce' on Friday (13th December).

Francesco Carrozzini collaborated with the 'Bow Down' star on her video for 'Jealous' as part of the US singer's new visual album, but says he was just as surprised as the rest of the world when he learned Beyonce had released the collection.

"Very surprising day. I found out because someone told me, 'Oh s**t you did a Beyonce video!" Francesco told MTV News this week. "I was like, 'Yes, how do you know?', and he was like, 'Well, it's on iTunes', and I was like, 'Oh cool!"

"When you work with Beyonce, there's a kind of secretness to everything you do, because of course she's such a star," he explained, before opening up about their video collaboration. "She had a very precise storyline in her head and it was written and filled with references, and so a big part of the creativity is her."

Francesco and Beyonce filmed the music video for 'Jealous' three weeks ago out in New York City.

Beyonce's brand new album features 14 new songs with music videos for each track as well as several bonus promos.
