Fans this week have been reacting with a mixture of approval and confusion in the wake of Beyonce, Jay-Z and Solange Knowles releasing a statement about last week's elevator incident.
The Internet has been constantly discussing the incident ever since footage first emerged on Monday (12th May) of Solange seeming to attack Jay-Z in a New York City hotel lift.
The trio then released a statement last night (15th May) insisting they have apologised to one another and are keen to "move forward" from the incident, however fans across Twitter don't seem to be ready to let this one go.
I don't think Beyoncé, Jay or Solange owe a explanation at all . It's no ones business . Families have arguments and fights all the time .— Summer (@SummerMelody21) May 16, 2014
Somehow the whole Jay Z, Solange and Beyonce thing just became more exciting.— Drew Hall (@DrewHall381) May 16, 2014

Lot of respect for JayZ, Beyoncé and Solange for keeping the altercation private. So it should.— misslewisssssssss (@Lauren_Lewis) May 16, 2014
Opinions on the Carters' statement about the incident range from those who approve of keeping the reason for the dispute a private matter, to those who are still keen to find out what REALLY went on during the elevator fight.
Other fans online have simply been poking fun at the dispute between Beyonce's sister Solange and her husband Jay-Z, with a string of Internet memes going viral over the past few days.
