Beyonce Posts Open Letter To Destiny's Child Bandmates After US Super Bowl 2013 Show

The 'Countdown' singer says it was an "honour" to sing alongside her bandmates once again.

Beyonce has posted a thank you letter online to her Destiny's Child bandmates after their reunion at the US Super Bowl 2013 and called it a "proud day" for African American women.

The 'Love On Top' singer performed a critically lauded halftime set at the NFL sporting event on Sunday (3rd February), which included all of her biggest hits including a medley of Destiny's Child songs during the halfway point.

"What a proud day for African American Women!!!!" Beyonce wrote in an open letter on her official website. "Kelly, Michelle, Alicia, Jhud, you are all beautiful talented and showed so much class!

"It was an honour to perform at the Super Bowl with you phenomenal ladies, love Beyonce," she finished.

Beyonce's performance was praised by a variety of celebrities around the world, including US First Lady Michelle Obama, who tweeted her appreciation during the Super Bowl show.

"Watching the #SuperBowl with family & friends," Michelle Obama tweeted. "@Beyonce was phenomenal! I am so proud of her!"
