Most people would have given up on their dream of becoming a pop superstar after being rejected at the judges' houses stage of the X Factor.
But Alexandra Burke isn't most people. Returning three years later and sounding better than ever, she went on to not only reach the live shows but win the entire competition, beating off stiff competition from boyband, JLS and sixteen year old, Eoghan Quigg.
Her first ever single release is a cover of the Leonard Cohen-penned classic, 'Hallelujah', the most famous version of which was released by Jeff Buckley in 1994. Set to be this year's Christmas No.1, it looks set to be the first of many hit singles for this talented young Londoner.
