Alexandra Burke Wants The X Factor Panel Return

The 'Start Without You' singer says she would be up for returning to the ITV music series if offered the chance.

Alexandra Burke has admitted she would love to be asked back as a judge on The X Factor.

The 'All Night Long' singer served as a guest judge last month when girls mentor Kelly Rowland was too ill to appear, and admits it was a daunting but rewarding challenge.

"The X Factor was insane," Alexandra told the Daily Star. "I got the call four hours before we went on air.

"I was shopping for my little brother for his birthday, so I was very nervous."

"But it was an honour," she added. "I'd love to do it again."

A former contestant on the X Factor herself, Alexandra is currently working on the follow-up to her 2009 debut album 'Overcome'.

"It's very different to 'Overcome'," the singer teased. "This one's a bit more womanly, sexier. I've taken more risks."

The 'Broken Heels' star said she is hopeful her second album will be out by Easter 2012.
