Alexandra Burke has got an idol Saturday this weekend.
The Ipswich Regent Theatre are trying to reschedule Alexandra's show after cancelling the performance on Saturday 22nd January.
It comes after they discovered some ornamental plasterwork on the floor of the circle and the theatre will remain closed while investigations continue and any relevant repairs have taken place.
A theatre spokesman said: "The height of the ceiling requires extensive scaffolding to allow for more detailed examinations and repair work. We apologise to our customers but their safety is of paramount importance. We cannot say exactly how long the scaffolding and repair work will take but we are hopeful that we will be back in business by early February. If that is the case no other shows will be affected.
We are doing our best to contact customers and further details about rescheduling and refunds will follow shortly. We would advise customers to check our website for details."
On their website they also say that customers tickets will remain valid for the new date once announced.
