The 'Someone Like You' singer is said to have arrived at a recording studio ready to lay down new material.

Adele has reportedly been finding time to write new material for a new album in between her new parenting duties, with rumours suggesting the star's next record could be out by the end of the year.

The 'Rolling In The Deep' star welcomed her first child with partner Simon Konecki in October 2012, being rarely seen in public ever since, and it is believed Adele has been secretly working away on new songs at home.

"Adele is making a start on another album after going off the radar since giving birth," a source revealed to Heat magazine this week. "Even though she's been busy enjoying family life with Simon [Konecki] and the baby, she's also been writing during her time off.

"[Adele] arrived at the studio ready to start working hard straight away," the source added. "The album could even be released later this year."

At the end of 2012 it was announced Adele had scored the best selling US album of the year, making her the first artist in the history to claim the honour for two consecutive years with the same record.

Adele is widely rumoured to be making her performance comeback at next month's Academy Awards ceremony, with predictions her 'Skyfall' song will be nominated for the Best Original Song Oscar, as part of a special James Bond tribute segment.
