The Grammy Award winning track has overtaken Lady Gaga's 'Poker Face' to claim the new milestone.

Adele has achieved another impressive record after her single 'Rolling In The Deep' became the biggest selling digital song by a female artist ever.

The 'Someone Like You' star's track has now overtaken Lady Gaga's 'Poker Face' after it clocked up sales of 6.68 million ahead of Gaga's 6.2 million for her 2008 smash hit in the US.

The British star still has some work to do to claim the all time digital selling song crown which is held by Black Eyed Peas for 'I Gotta Feeling' with 7.82 million sales.

Adele has been smashing records with her latest album '21' which this week is aiming to make it 23 weeks at the top of the US Billboard chart.

The singer clocked her ninth consecutive week at the chart summit this past week – a feat not seen since the release of the Titanic Soundtrack has 14 weeks at the top back in 1998.

Meanwhile, Simon Cowell recently described the singer's success as an "incredible story" claiming Adele is one of the most down to earth people he has ever met.
