The star of the Casino Royale soundtrack admits the 'Someone Like You' star is the ideal candidate for the role.

Adele has been named as the "perfect" choice to sing the theme for the upcoming  James Bond movies Skyfall by Chris Cornell.

The Soundgarden star created the track 'You Know My Name' for the soundtrack to Daniel Craig's first stint as 007 in the 2006 flick Casino Royale.

"Adele would be the perfect choice, I can't think of a better one," he said. "She's phenomenal and it's nice, in a day and age where so many vocals are fixed by computers, that the biggest album of last year was somebody who sings for real.

"I would hate to see music become more mechanistic and less human, so her success has been great.”

The singer has long been linked with the soundtrack for movie and as the first trailer appeared online last month, fresh reports emerged of her involvement with the project.
