The 'Someone Like You' singer has tweeted a message of thanks after being put up for several awards at next month's annual BRITs ceremony.

Adele says she is "happy" at receiving three nominations for the BRIT Awards 2012 and has thanked fans for their continued support.

The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer has been nominated for Mastercard British Album Of The Year for her second studio album '21', which was released back in January 2011.

Adele has also received nods in the award categories for Best Female as well as Best Single for her Vodafone Big Top Forty hit 'Someone Like You'.

"F**king happy," Adele tweeted after the BRIT Awards nominations launch earlier today (12th January). "Thank you for the nods xx."
