The 'Someone Like You' star's speech at last weekend's awards was interrupted by the Ukrainian journalist.

The man who crashed the stage during Adele's acceptance speech at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night (10th February) has issued a plea for the singer's help in order to avoid jail.

Ukrainian TV journalist Vitalii Sediuk stormed the stage and was heard speaking on the mic as the British singer picked up Best Pop Solo Performance at the industry event.

It was revealed this week by The Hollywood Reporter that he was arrested after the incident and has now given a new telephone interview – asking for the 'Rolling In The Deep' star's assistance.

"Oh Adele. Help me not to go to jail," he said.

Sediuk also revealed how the incident was not planned despite previous reports.

"It was spontaneous," he explained. "It was not planned of course."

The same journalist was also involved in an incident with Hollywood actor Will Smith during the Men In Black 3 premiere in Moscow.

Meanwhile, Adele has spoken out about a picture of herself and Chris Brown taken from the Grammys 2013 – in which it was claimed she was telling the R&B singer off.

She tweeted: "Chris Brown and I were complimenting each other in that photo actually!"
