Adele And Cheryl Cole Top Richest Young Musicians List For 2012

The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer has tripled her fortune in the past twelve months.

Adele has been named as the top youngest earning musician in the UK for 2012.

The 'Someone Like You' star topped the Sunday Times' latest rundown after seeing an increase in her fortune from £6 million in 2011 to an extravagant £20 million over the past twelve months.

Entertainment Retailers Association's Steve Redmond told The Sun: "Adele’s been the success story of the past year by a mile. You only get an Adele once every ten years. It's success on a ginormous scale."

Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole is also high on the list with earnings of £12 million which was also matched by former X Factor champion Leona Lewis as well as Katie Melua.

Joss Stone makes up the final place in the top five of the list which also looks at the top earners in the world of film and modeling.

Meanwhile, Adele's latest album '21' is still performing well on the charts around the world and is currently in second place on the Billboard 200 behind Nicki Minaj's new album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded'.
