The '21' singer says people are always surprised how chatty and carefree she can be.
Adele says people usually think she is going to be "miserable" when they meet her because of how intense her two albums '19' and '21' are.
The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer admits people are often surprised by her happy demeanour, and claims she is "the total opposite of my records".
"People think that I'm f**king miserable," Adele told US Vogue in their March issue. "They are really surprised when they meet me that I'm chatty and bubbly and kind of quite carefree really.
"I am quite loud and bolshie," she explained. "I'm a big personality."
The 'Someone Like You' singer also revealed it may take her up to five years to write and record her next studio album .
Adele walked away as the star of this year's Grammy Awards on Sunday (12th February) after winning all six awards she had been nominated for.
